Music Theory For Guitar

Welcome to Riff Lord Challenge! The goal of this course is to write and record 8 riffs in 8 weeks. I'm not expecting a 69 minute progressive opus, just 30-60 seconds will do. Each riff will have a unique theme you must capture. For example, the first riff should have an Egyptian sound. We'll also be writing neoclassical, Japanese, vampire, medieval metal and more! Students must post their riffs in the “riff lord challenge” discord accountability channel. Each assignment will be graded on a pass/fail basis. Extra points for submitting your riff with DAW audio quality              ABOUT THE COURSE  Students will receive a toolkit containing the scale, primary chord progression and a counterpoint phrase to inspire riff ideas. PDF tabs, as well as guitar pro files will be provided. There will be livestreams every other week. We’ll cover how to use the toolkit and creative strategies to trigger your creative potential.
